Italian companies are invited to collaborate with internationally renowned architects and designers for the realization of new projects, staging stone excellence through works and installations inspired by a theme that is identified each year by the curators Raffaello Galiotto and Vincenzo Pavan.
The pavilion is divided into areas, each of which hosts an exhibition: one of architecture, one of design, one of art and one of objects related to important furniture brands.
Digma Srl, is present with its own stand in the years 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019.
Due to the pandemic, the fair did not take place in 2020, but we are back with determination for the year 2021.
In 2016 we collaborate in the realization of the following work.
CATEGORY: THE POWER OF STONE
PROJECT: SPONGIA
DESIGNER: RAFFAELLO GALIOTTO
The pointed and modeled reliefs of the work are made with two types of milling: disc and shaped tool.
THE “SUB-SQUARE” CHANNELS HAVE BEEN EXCAVATED, FIRST WITH A WORKING TOOL AND THEN WITH A SHAPED TOOL DESIGNED SPECIALLY
The exhibition intends to combine the millenary tradition of stone processing with the contemporary language of design. Design understood as a “total project” that involves and manages the production process, devices, tools and software for the creation of works with a strong formal impact and high technological content. Machining carried out to the extreme, complex surfaces, very high precision details, waste reduction and enhancement of the characteristics of the materials are the common thread of each work. The exhibition, composed of a sequence of creations with all-Italian technology, also aims to involve the company workers with the aim of outlining new artisan figures technologically preparing for the use of digital instruments for marble processing.
In 2017 we collaborate in the realization of the following work.
CATEGORY: MACCHINE VIRTUOSE
PROJECT: CARDO
DESIGNER: RAFFAELLO GALIOTTO
The pointed cusps of the Cardo vase collection are produced by milling on crossed paths with the use of a spherical diamond tool with a diameter of 60 mm.
THE MACHINE DRIVES THE TOOL ALONG THE THREE-DIMENSIONAL PATHS DRAWN BY THE COMPUTER DESIGNER, PRODUCING IN THIS WAY THE SURFACE, COMPLEX, SMOOTHED AND CUSPIDIFORME
Continuing the research initiated by Marmomac regarding the potential of machines in stone processing, the exhibition aims to highlight the production and technical mastery of the materials, transformation and technology companies, which will be entrusted with the creation of a design product. For this purpose, the company in the sector could be combined with a design company to fine-tune the product.
